AdSense Category Filtering: Now You See It & Now You Don't

AdSense Category FilteringIn April 2009, Google introduced category filtering for some AdSense publishers. They expanded it a bit in November and has slowly been giving publishers access to the ad filtering option.

Yesterday, I spotted a thread at WebmasterWorld where two different Adsense publishers were given the feature and then Google took it back. One publisher said:

I just saw a message saying about category filtering at my adsense acount. I follow the links etc then I saw "category filtering" settings available at my account.

I just blocked 2-3 categories and then I saved it.

Then I came back to the same section again, but there is no " category filtering settings" available at that time.

Another publisher had the same experience and asked, "Was it a premature release?"

Maybe? I assume this is a sign that Google will be rolling out category filtering at a larger scale soon.
