The New York Search Engine Strategies conference starts next Tuesday, officially, but as always there will be tons of after hours events. Based on experience, these are the events that lead to the most rewarding networking opportunities, plus provide a place for old industry friends to meet and mingle with upcoming stars. The conference is being organized by Danny Sullivan, who is slowly phasing out of SES and into his own SMX conference. This should mean for a particularly large crowd, and a steady onslaught of well-wishers for Danny.
Danny a few years ago appointed networker extraordinaire Joe Morin to the helm of party organizer, something that Joe has done admirably, all while trying to orchestrate super bowl wedding proposals. So without further adieu, I present to you:
The *OFFICIAL* 2007 SES NYC Party and Events Thread.
Note this is a living document, so make sure you keep checking back occasionally for updates.
The very first alcohol-inclusive event (unless Hitwise is planning on spiking the punch bowl during class) will actually be a charity event to benefit Ronald McDonald houses worldwide. The event is being organized by Greg Nyland (aka GoodROI) and the Internet Marketer of New York group which he started last year. See the information at the New York marketing club's Web site. The cost of the event is being covered by the always generous Best of the Web Internet directory folks, in conjunction with the nouveau New Yorkers Text Link Ads. Many speakers and well-known bloggers are planning on attending, so make sure you are there early before it gets too crowded.
There is an additional thread at SEW to discuss the IM-NY event.
