I am a huge fan of Google Groups, specifically the forums where Google representatives offer assistance on their products. This ranges from Google Webmaster Help to Google AdSense Help and as far as Google Docs Help and Google Reader Help groups. One of the most active Google representatives in any of these Google managed help forums was Graham, the Google Reader Guide.
Graham announced in a Google Group thread last night that he will be "moving on" as the Google Reader Guide. He said that a man named Roger will be taking over his Google Reader Guide account and stepping up in his place. Here is his exact message:
Hi everyone,It's been fun hanging out with you all here since last August, but the time has come for me to move on. Taking over from me will be Roger, your new Google Reader Guide. He'll be using this same "Google Reader Guide" account but signing his own name, of course. Please give him a warm welcome to the group!
On my way out, I just want to say thanks to everyone here who's been using Reader and giving us good feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. And extra thanks to all of you who have taken the time to provide assistance to your fellow readers. You folks are what make groups like this work, and I appreciate it.
Happy reading! Graham
Roger has already begun replying to many threads with helpful solutions and resolutions. However, it seems like Graham may be leaving Google completely, although it does not say that specifically. But why else would Graham give up the account, typically Google reps just add new accounts. In any event, Graham, we have learned a lot from your responses and we wish you the best in your new ventures - where ever that might be. Roger, best of luck with the forums - we will be watching you.
