Reported via the Google Web Search Help forums, Google Hungry's web site yesterday was sporting a logo for Hungary's National Day, which was on March 15th. The Google Doodle reportedly had the wrong logo. Google Maps Guide, Cecelia, created a Google Maps Help thread warning users not to edit their Google My Maps. The specific issue is with editing the Place Details in the My Maps. If you do edit it now, it may impact the rest of your information on your map. Cecelia said: We are aware of a temporary technical issue with My Maps. Our teams are working hard to resolve this issue. Until everything is running - Facebook.com Beats Out Google.com In Web Visitors This Week
Hitwise reports that Facebook.com surpassed Google.com in visits to become the most visited website for the week ending in March 13, 2010. It is not the first time this has happened, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day as well as the weekend of March 6th and 7th Facebook.com surpassed Google.com as well. It is important to note, that this only is Google.com traffic. It does not include Gmail, Google News, and Google's - Ask Sponsored Listings Stops Sending Referrer Data
Ask Sponsored Listings recently launched a new platform which is managed by what they called Pureleads. Ask advertisers have been receiving emails about the change in the past week or so. One savvy advertiser, Jerry Nordstrom, posted a thread at Search Engine Watch Forums, digging into the changes. The most significant change is that Ask will stop sending referrer data from clicks on their ads. That means, you really won't know where your clicks are
