Back in July, we reported an issue with Bing sitemaps files being stuck in pending status.
Back then, Bing confirmed there was a bug for some webmasters:
Our product team is aware of this and is being addressed at this time. Currently, we have no ETA yet due to testing and developing.
Personally, none of my sitemaps in Bing are in pending status. But for some, including one webmaster complaining in a Bing Forum thread, the issue is still there.
Will from Bing even confirmed there is still an issue and said:
Currently our team is looking into the sitemap submission and is working on a fix. There's no ETA at the moment, so please be patient.
