Bing: Webmaster Forums Closing Down, Go To WebmasterWorld Instead

New Bing LogoDuane Forrester from Bing announced on the Bing Webmaster Blog that they are closing down the Bing Webmaster Forums in the upcoming days.

Honestly, I am not surprised. For years I've been trying to find good conversation from that forum to bring to light here but all the spam and poor quality stuff going on in there, I had to stop tracking that forum. Now, Bing decides to close it down, which is the right thing to do with low quality forums.

The neat part is that Bing is suggesting everyone to go to WebmasterWorld instead, if they want to have a nicely moderated forum and expertise from like-minded folks. Duane said that Bing does participate at the WebmasterWorld forums. This is in big contrast to Google's approach where they mostly pulled support from third-party forums (with exception of hacker news and some others) and brought all the support in their forums.

Duane also said they do have huge amounts of help documentation, the webmaster blog and a way to email them for support.

Here is a screen shot of the Bing Webmaster Forums so we have it for the archives:
