Dan Shure is 38 years old, lives in Holden, Massachusetts and works in Worcester. Like many others, he works and co-owns the agency with his wife, Sarah.
I've cited Dan here countless times, he is often able to find interesting tidbits around Google changes both in the core search rankings as well as within Google tools like Search Console. He is always incredibly eager to share what he finds on social media, on his blog, on third-party industry blogs and more. He is one of the most sharing people in our industry and I love following him and his work on social media.
Many folks in the industry look to Dan for guidance around technical SEO problems and challenges. I often see him giving them his advice, for free, without expecting anything in return. I just love how generous he is and it shows from watching his behavior online.
He shared on social media, via podcasting, vlogging and in so many other forms of media.

I knew the work of Dan through his podcast, Experts on the Wire. I'm a big fan of podcasts, but I find most of the SEO podcasts a little bit boring and repetitive. What makes Dan so special behind the mic is that he's able to put humanity in his interviews to people like Annie Cushing, Simo Ahava, Marie Haynes (who also needs a lot of appreciation) or Aleyda Solis. But it's not only his podcast, by following him on Twitter you can see that he's always trying to help people understand what a SEO job really is. He started a vlog on Youtube some time ago that sadly hasn't been appreciated, but it's really worth it.
He shared a very deep and transparent post in his blog some months ago (http://www.evolvingseo.com/2017/05/04/hitting-reset/) with the struggles of his career as an SEO, and that's remarkable.
I really think Dan doesn't get the credit he deserves, so I just wanted to share some appreciation.

Favorite thing about the SEO community? Everyone's generosity.
One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? DO!
I think we tend to believe Google, ranking studies, the latest article and assumptions above our own results and traffic stats. By doing, testing and thinking critically about your own results, you can stay grounded in what 'works' vs the rhetoric.
