I hate writing these posts, it is horrible when there is a loss in this world. I learned this morning that the industry lost yet another superstar, Dana Lookadoo. Dana Lookadoo, in the photo on the left in the jacket, had the brightest smile that really inspired the whole room she was in.

She was an all-star SEO, loved by virtually all her peers and was in the true sense a loving and caring person.

As I wrote on Search Engine Land a couple years ago, titled How One SEO Consultant’s Near Death Experience United The SEO Community - she was just that person. Sadly, she lost her battle with that accident after fighting for years.

Her husband, Ed, posted the news in a private Facebook group, where many of the SEO industry stayed on top of her progress after the accident. We felt we were connected, her ups, were our ups, here downs, were our downs. Her death will be our glue that reminds the industry what is important.

Twitter is a storm of messages about Dana, just click here to scan through them. Matt McGee wrote a very touching memorial for her on Search Engine Land.

Here are some Tweets I wanted to pull out:

It goes on and on.

You will be missed Dana.
