This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.
Daniel Richardson is 30 years old, lives in Liverpool, UK with his wife of four years and his 6 month old son Caleb. Daniel is someone who comments here and on social media a lot. His humor is something I personally appreciate and connect with. His comments often make me smile, because it is a dry sarcasm that I tend to find funny.
In the past several years, he has grown tremendously in the space. He has shared a lot of content on LinkedIn, shared with his colleagues and has been a very active contributor to the community. I'd watch him closely over the next year or so and see what new stuff he brings to the table within the SEO industry.
Ronnie, another person who is active in the comments here, nominated Daniel and wrote:
Daniel Richardson is one of the most naturally gifted SEOs to ever grace the internet. A keen eye for content and finding keywords which convert, Dan can always be relied upon to generate real traffic for clients.
Daniel Richardson Bio: Seven years ago I had no idea what SEO was, it wasn't until one of my friends got a job in the digital marketing industry that I thought it sounded liked something I would be interesting in so I started looking into it. I setup a small website with my CV on it which outlined my aspirations to get into online marketing, promoted it with Facebook ads and quickly got a couple of interviews. One of which landed me my first job in SEO.
Today I work full time as an Organic Search Specialist at Click Consult working on national and multi national clients while also messing about with several of my own niche sites in my free time.
Favorite thing about the SEO community? I love how open and inclusive it is, there are no barriers to entry within the industry all you need to learn SEO is time and tenacity. Everything you need to know to rank well is shared openly on countless forums and blogs and pretty much every SEO I've ever spoken to is very happy to offer advice and suggestions on how to keep moving forward.
One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Despite having been doing client SEO for almost 6 years now the thing that taught me most about SEO was building and ranking my own sites from scratch. This has allowed me to test out hundreds of different strategies and measure the impact and work out what works and what doesn't so I strongly recommend that all SEOs build and rank at least one of their own websites.
Favorite things in general? Favourite color, food, thing to do: I don't have a favorite food however I'm known for eating a lot of wraps in the office, I have two wraps for breakfast and two for lunch everyday. In my free time I enjoy keeping fit doing some Crossfit and powerlifting, attending and helping out at my local church and trying to complete an endless list of DIY jobs around the house.
What you want to be known for in the SEO space? I would love to be known for being a no-nonsense SEO who gets results and who genuinely cares about the SEO community and the people in it.
