Today on Google.com in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and many of those regions, is a new Google logo, Doodle for the Day of the Dead. The cool part, it is in pink and in the form of tissue-paper cutouts.
Google said today's "Doodle captures the intricate tissue-paper cutouts that have been used in Mexican celebrations since the 18th century." Adding that "on Día de los Muertos, the bright, delicate paper banners indicate that life is fragile and fleeting, but it's also full of beauty and delight."
Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated in many regions Google is displaying the logo, as described above. It is a holiday that "focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey," according to Wikipedia. It happens over multiple days.
