Google: Features Snippets Not Counted Separately In Search Console Reports

Update: Zineb later explained that Google doesn't break out the featured snippets separately in the search console reports but they do count them. Sorry about that. Here is the new tweet from Zineb and then after it is the original story:

Zineb from Google said on Twitter that featured snippets are not counted in the Search Console reports. I assume that means they aren't used when tracking position count, impressions or clicks in the Search Analytics report within Google Search Console.

Recently Google also said that knowledge graph links are also not counted in the Google Search Console report.

What is a featured snippet? It is when Google puts a special box with a larger answer, scraping content and images from your site onto their search results page, like this:

In any event, that ranking and CTR data is not used in the Search Analytics report.
