There is a lot of speculation that Google has penalized another network, link network/private blog network. This time the speculation is around Get Indexed, a company based in the Netherlands. Their web site is at getindexed.com.
A thread at SiteDeals.NL has a ton of upset customers around this service. They've been benefiting from it for a while now but it seems that on December 9th, Google took action against those who participate in the network.
Tons of webmasters are claiming that they have received manual actions for unnatural links. They are almost all pointing fingers at Get Indexed.
Supposedly, the owner named Stan, sent an email to some customers saying (translated version):
Good evening, Quite unexpectedly, we received notice that Google may have sent an email warning because a pattern of artificial or unnatural links could be found that would point to your website (s). To prevent Google from your website gives a penalty which your site falls in search engine ranking, we immediately embarked on a precaution all links that are provided by us to remove your website (s). The attached PDF you can check whether this is the case and what you can do about it. In the meantime, we will investigate this further impact on our service and your subscription. Our service is therefore temporarily suspended. That means that we will no longer send invoices.
There are rumors that Get Indexed had mass layoffs the day after.
Again, all of this is speculation based on the forum linked to here. Google would not confirm this, as they said to me they are always taking action on link networks and would not confirm or deny this one.
