Google Doodle For Adolphe Sax, Inventor Of The Saxophone

Adolphe Sax Google Logo

Today on the Google home page is a special Google logo, aka Doodle, for Adolphe Sax’s 201st Birthday. Adolphe Sax invented the saxophone, which I guess you can tell from the Google logo today.

He was born in Belgium on November 6, 1814 and received a patent on June 28, 1846 for the saxophone. He was a musician and inventor, most well known for the saxophone, but also other instruments. He had lip cancer but fully recovered from that and then died on February 7, 1894 in Paris, France at the age of 79.

The Google Doodle doesn't just have his saxophone, but also all five instruments he invented. Google deisned five unique Doodles today for Saxtuba, Alto Sax, 7-Bell Trombone, Soprano Sax, 'Googlehorn.' Here is a break down of each:
