Google Ads Experiment

Google announced it is rolling out new experimentation and planning capabilities in Google Ads and AI Max. There are new A/B test capabilities, brand and location parameters options and new Performance Planner predictions.

Here is what is coming:

  • Next month, in September, advertisers can run a single A/B test across multiple Search campaigns to see exactly how budget and ROI target adjustments impact their results.
  • Advertisers can now run AI Max experiments with brand and location parameters turned on, allowing them to measure impact without dropping their guardrails.
  • Performance Planner can now predict how bidding or budget shifts will change performance and it also lets you apply those suggestions immediately.

Here is a video from Google on these changes:

I should note, Google updated the help document named About AI Max experiments with tons of changes related to this. You can compare the old version to the new version.
