Google is testing adding keyword-rich anchor text hyperlinks to the ad descriptions in the sponsored results within Google Search. Clicking on the link takes you to the same ad landing page URL as it would if you clicked on the main title link in the ad.
Nayan Prakash spotted this and posted a screenshot on LinkedIn - here is that screenshot showing numerous sponsored listings in Google Search with these hyperlinks in the ad descriptions:
I cannot replicate this experiment just yet.
Nayan told me, "Google appears to be experimenting with showing hyperlinked text within search ad descriptions. Clicking the hyperlink takes users to the same landing page as the ad URL. It looks like Google is deciding which text to hyperlink based on the user's search intent. Definitely something to keep an eye on, as it could have an impact on CTR."
Google did previously test learn more links and read more links within Google Ads but this takes it to a new level.
I am sure this has to improve the click-through rate on those ads.
