Over a year ago, Google AdWords followed suit and went not provided but now there are more changes happening around the ad click referrer data.
Google announced on Google+ that starting next week, in October, Google will stop showing anything but the main domain name in the referrer.
Google said "the referer for many ad clicks will only contain the Google domain from which the click occurred (domains like https://www.google.com or https://www.google.ca)." Google said they "will no longer be communicating specific paths such as “google.com/aclk” or “googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk."
This is because of the HTTPS changes and "a continuation of Google's general user security efforts."
Google says you can still get most, if not all, of this data by using:
- Auto-tagging (gclid) https://goo.gl/wRuzxU
- Custom campaign parameters (utm) https://goo.gl/Lw1k9
- ValueTrack parameters https://goo.gl/uBwl5I
