Google On AMP Adoption Rate: No Numbers To Share, But Likes Where It's Heading

Rocket Amp

This morning, Google added AMP error reports to the Google Search Console and Google is heavily pushing AMP onto Google News publishers (yes, I am making an effort to test it here, just starting the process).

But are many publishers adopting AMP with all the effort Google is putting into it?

Google won't say, at least not now, but John Mueller said on Twitter, "I like where it's headed though!"

He was asked specifically about the AMP adoption rate, which he said he can't share numbers yet but added he likes the direction it is headed. Here are those tweets:

Truth is, it is too early for Google to share those numbers. It hasn't officially even launched in the Google search results yet. That won't happen until next month some time and when it does, it will be interesting to see the adoption rate then.

I assume tools like Majestic, Moz, SearchMetrics etc can crawl the web and figure out who adopted it thus far.
