The almighty Google Answers box is usually pretty confident in the answers it provides, otherwise, it most likely would not give an answer.
But when it comes to questions such as [what happened to the dinosaurs], not so much.
In fact, back in May of this year, Google had a biblical answer for that and swapped it to a more scientific answer. Which itself got a ton of publicity and critics.
But now, if you search for the same query, Google ranks an article about the issue and the article clearly says "Google is Wrong About What Happened to the Dinosaurs..."
Here is a picture:
Of course, this is an algorithm and Google doesn't know that the confident answer they are providing says they have the wrong answer. So you can see the irony in this and all of Google's Answer results.
This was spotted first by Bryson Meunier and posted on Google+, where he said:
Wow, this is surreal. Anyone remember Googling "what happened to the dinosaurs" a few months ago and getting a creationist answer in Google? Now if you do the same search you get the same bogus answer, but it's quoting an article called "Google is Wrong About What Happened to the Dinosaurs"Have you ever seen Google tell you an answer and then tell you that answer is wrong?
head explodes
No exploding heads but you know...
