If you go to the Google home page, you will notice that Google only has their logo on the home page. There is no special Google Doodle or logo for a once in a lifetime day, Back To The Future Day.
In the 1985 release of the movie, Back To The Future, which happened exactly 30 years, 3 months and 18 days ago, Marty McFly travels to October 21, 2015 to save his kids. He set the time circuits clock to October 21, 2015 and 11:49am. Okay, so it is not 11:49am yet here in New York, so Google still has some time.
But searchers expected to see a Google Doodle all day for the special once in a lifetime day of Back To The Future day. Where is it?
We have a thread at the Google Web Search Help forum with complaints. Some are hopeful the Doodle will still be posted at 11:49 their local time, but many are not. Here are some comments:
I was very disappointed that there was not a google doodle for today as today is the day Marty McFly comes from the past in the DeLorean with Doc Emmet Brown. What a missed opportunity!
We in the UK are very disappointed too!
A real shame, don't you think?
