Google's Martin Splitt at TechSEOBoost last week in Boston gave an awesome presentation around how Google crawls and renders, with a deeper dive around Google's WRS, Web Rendering Service. One note that was interesting was that Martin confirmed on Twitter that animations are fine for Google, even if they look weird in the screenshot Google shows you.
Here is his response to a tweet from Alexis Sanders, who misheard what Martin said, but yet leading to Martin explaining that animations do not give Google's WRS an issue:
Animations aren't a problem tho. They might just look funny when you look at the screenshot, but we don't care 🙆
