About a year ago, Google added the ability to copy emojis directly from the search results in an answer box. Now, Google is also showing copyable emojis to AI Overviews in the Google Search results.
Brodie Clark spotted this the other day and posted this on X / SERP Alerts and I am able to replicate it. I can even trigger the copyable emojis to show both in the AI Overview and the answer box in Google Search.
Here is that example and yes, it seems redundant:

I think it is neat that you can copy the emoji right from the search results but those emoji websites are not going to be a fan of this.
