Google Crawl Data Report For Apps Now Updated Every Few Days Vs. Daily

Google has quietly posted on their data anomalies page that they have changed how often they update the "Crawl Status" report in the Google Search Console specifically for apps.

They went from updating the data on a daily basis to updating it every 3-4 days in batches. It was always a couple days behind, but the data would be updated daily with the information from a few days ahead. Now, you will only see data updated in batches, with 3-4 days of data being added at a time.

Why? Google said this is to "improve system performance." Here is the full quote:

(Apps only) Crawl data for apps will be updated every 3-4 days, rather than daily, in order to improve system performance.
