Ginny Marvin over at Search Engine Land captured Google testing a massive promotion for Google Express in the mobile search results. It is called "Get it with Google Express" and it shows to some US searchers when Shopping Ads contain some Google Express results.
Google places this banner above the shopping ads, pushing down everything else just a bit more, to promote Google Express in their ads. Here is Ginny's screen shot of the banner ad:
Here is a view showing the banner ad below the search box and above the shopping ad carousel:
"The test is quite limited. It’s running on mobile only in the US when it regards the offer to be particularly relevant to the query," Ginny wrote.
Personally, I think the banner ad above the ads is a bit too much - but I guess that is why Google is testing it?
