Last week we reported Gary Illyes from Google was on a mission to tell you what Google calls their updates and features internally - their real names.
Yesterday, Gary Illyes called out three internal names Google uses on Twitter, they include Featured Snippets, Knowledge Cards and Live Results.
What are they?
Featured Snippets: These are the Google Answers, where it shows an answer, sourced from a site, as a featured snippet at the top of the search results. Here is an example [who is god]:
Knowledge Cards: These are knowledge answers, where Google sources the response from a data source they have. Such as [how old is obama]:
Live Results: These are like weather results, scores, anything that Google updates in real time from data providers. For example [warriors vs cavaliers score]:
I wonder what else Gary will tell us? Maybe the code name for the May 1st update? I bet it isn't that simple.
