Google runs a product named FeedBurner, it helps publishers manage their RSS feeds including distribution services, analytics and more around RSS. I use it here but when Google acquired them in 2007, I was nervous. Since then it has been working pretty well. But back in 2012, when Google killed Google Reader, we were afraid that Feedburner was doomed but it survived.

In the past several days, FeedBurner analytics and email distribution system stopped working for many.

Here is a screen shot of my stats that shows a few days of zero subscribers:

Take a look at all the complaints in this Feedburner Help forum.

DansDeals, a major deal site, also complained and didn't hear back from Google:

One user, Lara Diamond, said in a support thread "I just reached someone. They are now aware, and it's being fixed now. :)"

I reached out also but I did not hear back yet.

So many publishers rely on FeedBurner, as do I, so I am a bit concerned.
