Google seems to have fixed one of the many Google Maps bugs and has acknowledge they are working on a fix for the other. The Google Maps Q&A feature didn't let owners properly respond to questions left about their businesses - that supposedly has been fixed. The reviews going missing is something Google is working on fixing still.
The bug with business owners responding to questions about their business in the Q&A section, where it would use the persons name and not the business name, has now been resolved. This was an issue from June 22nd through this past Friday, so for about a month. The issue was resolved over the weekend according to the folks in the Local Search Forums. One said "I have been checking every day since the bug and it seems to be fixed now!"
The reviews bug, where reviews are going missing is still being worked on. Joy Hawkins posted an update in the Local Search Forums and said Google sent her this quote:
In our ongoing efforts to remove fake reviews from Maps, we've experienced an increase in reviews being removed from businesses. We are inspecting our tools and systems to ensure that any legitimate reviews are reinstated.
Do you think Google is finally getting on top of these issues after months of bugs with Google Maps features?
