Today on the Google home page is a special Google logo, Doodle, for Gertrude Jekyll, a British horticulturist, garden designer, artist, and writer. She has designed over 400 gardens throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States and to remember her contributions, Google has given her a Doodle today.
She was born in London on November 29, 1843 and passed at the age of 89 on December 8, 1932.
