Google announced on Google+ Project Glass, which is basically glasses you wear that replaces your cell phone, your smart phone, your computer - it is Google embedded in your eye glasses. The closest thing to Google embedding a computer chip in your brain (a dream of the founders by the way).
The best way to describe it is to show you the video, which I placed below. Google said:
We think technology should work for you—to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.
Please follow along as we share some of our ideas and stories. We’d love to hear yours, too. What would you like to see from Project Glass?
Wild stuff?
How much of this is real? Probably not much right now, at least not at this level. But this is the future and a very scary but so useful future.
Imagine, walking down the street and getting directions as you walk!
Imagine not remembering a name and this reminding you? Imagine getting a phone call without a phone. Imagine driving, checking your emails, responding to them without taking your eyes off the road.
I can't wait but I might not be the norm.
