There seems to be this ongoing issue with Google Image search since February for a wide number of searchers. The issue is, when you go to Google Image search, search and click on an image, instead of it showing you the preview within the screen, it would take you to the image in a new window.
The issue was reported in the Google Web Search Help forums back in February and since then we have three pages of complaints from searchers. Not a single response from Google.
Bluequoll, a Google Top Contributor said he reported it to Googlers several times but they didn't respond. He wrote:
I'm sorry that my escalation of this issue appears to have fallen upon deaf ears. In spite of continual requests to our Search Community Manager over the past four months, I'm unable to get any acknowledgment of this issue. In the light of Google's silence, I can only assume that this is a permanent change to the Image Search interface which Google is not prepared to acknowledge or comment upon.
All you can do to provide feedback direct to Google is to click "Send feedback" at the bottom of the results page and follow the steps.
I am not sure why Google has not responded, normally these complaints and this scale, get responses.
