Google: Intrusive Interstitials Mobile Penalty Still Rolling Out Based On Recrawl

Many keep asking, has the Google mobile interstitial penalty fully rolled out yet? We know it began rolling out on schedule and we've seen sites get hit hard by it but many sites are still not impacted.

The question is, is it done rolling out and the answer seems to be no - not yet fully.

Gary Illyes from Google responded on Twitter to that question saying it takes time because they need to "recrawl the web." He wrote, "we need to recrawl the web afaik. That takes time." So this seems like it might take a heck of a lot of time, like some other algorithms.

So if it hasn't hit you yet, I'd check the last crawl date and see if you are safe or not. Although, who knows if that really means you are safe?
