Google's John Mueller: The Links Are Nofollowed, Stop Dropping Links

john mueller google nononoSometimes I find funny threads and I simply want to share them with you.

In a recent thread at the Google Webmaster Help forums, a webmaster dropped a keyword rich anchor text link and it caught the attention of John Mueller from Google.

John responded to it basically saying, don't drop links in my forums, it is annoying and the links are nofollowed.

Here is what John responded:

Links in this forum are nofollowed. Please don't drop links here, that's seen as spammy, and generally frowned upon in forums.

It is funny to see people try to link drop in Google operated forums, especially in the forums where the web spam team reviews.

Note: The animated GIF was a pain to create.
