It is not all that uncommon for Google to show a searcher a page of search results in a language that the searcher has never seen before. But it is unusual for it to happen to many searchers in a short period of time.
Typically I'd see a complaint like this once every week or so. Google has gone on record on how report these types of issues.
But there was an uptick in these reports in the Google Web Search Help forums. There are at least three new threads in the past day or so with complaints in the Google Web Search Help forums on the topic.
All of them are reporting issues of being shown different languages in countries they have likely never been to or even near.
It makes me wonder if there is a larger issue, bug, or something at Google that needs to be resolved?
