Earlier this month we reported that Google Lens is coming to Google Image search. Well, it is now here for some of us. Go to mobile, search for almost anything, click on an image and you will see this lens icon under the image. Click on it and it will analyze the image, let you click on or circle parts of the image and Google will zoom into it.
To me, this seems like one of those futuristics things. Here, watch this GIF:
I wrote about this in more detail at Search Engine Land but I suspect this will lead to more image searching over time. The way it is built into the Pixel 3 - this is all just so cool to me. Not sure if you all feel the same?
Google said " Lens in Images is now live on the mobile web for people in the U.S. searching in English, and will soon be rolled out to other countries, languages and other places you use Google Images."
