Today on Google's home pages worldwide is a special Google logo for Leo Tolstoy, a novelist most well known for his works named War and Peace, Anna Karenina, A Confession, The Kingdom of God Is Within You and Resurrection. Google's Doodle, the logo, features many of these works in the interactive playable version.

I hope the doodle will inspire viewers to discover and revisit these scenes in the way Tolstoy intended: through reading and rereading his timeless narratives.
Leo Tolstoy was born on September 9, 1828 in Yasnaya Polyana, Russia. He was married in 1862 to Sophia Tolstaya and they had 13 children together. He passed on November 20, 1910 at the age of 82.
