Astra RotlichtThomas Steiner, a PhD Customer Solutions Engineer for Google in Hamburg, Germany placed an order online at Lieferello for some cold beverages and in his order shipment box he found this colorful letter. In a sense, they bribed Thomas with an extra free bottle.

Note, Thomas Steiner had it shipped to the Google office, so he they had an idea he was a Googler that way.

The letter reads:

Hey Google,

We added one more bottle of Astra to your order (this makes 25+1 bottles). Could you be so kind and tell your algorithm... so that it could perhaps improve our rankings.

Here is a picture of the letter, which totally beats out the message itself:

Google Lieferello Algorithm

Not only did it make a statement with Thomas, but Google's search quality engineer, Gary Illyes noticed also.

I wonder if it will help them? :-)
