Yesterday, Google has reportedly dropped the local one-box results. So when you do a search for a specific business and Google would show you the local box for that business above the web results (not just on the right hand side of the page) - it is gone now. The local results that showed up under the top listing is gone.

Here is an example from Mike Blumenthal, you can see the local data which showed up under the first listing is gone.

Here is what it looks like now:

The pins are gone also.

Mozcast featured report also picked up on this showing zero one box results for local now:

Google Local One Box Drop

Dr. Pete Meyers said on Twitter that he thought it was a bug with Mozcast but it wasn't.

I did email Google yesterday about this but have yet to hear back.

I personally use the one box local information all the time, but now I need to tilt my eyes to the right of the Google page to get the information I need. :)
