Aaron Bradley posted on Google+ a new beta feature around structured markup Google is now testing in the search results. In short, they are restaurant lists rich cards powered by AMP markup.
Google explains it as "when a user searches for best dinner in NYC or provides similar list-seeking queries, your marked up restaurant content can appear as a host-specific carousel in Search Results." To make this happen, Google says you need to "enable host-specific lists for restaurants, build your restaurant list pages in AMP HTML with ItemList markup and mark up individual restaurant pages."
Here is a screen shot of the markup, an example at least:
You can learn more about this over here.
Also, Aaron pointed out there are new restaurant properties including:
- name (expected type is
- image (expected type is URL or ImageObject)
- servesCuisine (expected type is Text)
