As some of you know, there is a some major snow storm in the UK which is causing huge delays and cancellations at Heathrow airport in London. As you can imagine this is a huge disaster for British Airways who is currently dealing with a huge mess on their web site and Twitter account.
That being said, it is also a huge disaster for a business that has nothing to do with British Airways.
A Google Places Help thread reports that there is a Place page for the British Air Transport Association, a trade group, on Google Maps. The thing is, people are confusing it as British Airways and calling the number.
The person said, "thanks to the weather chaos they're getting hundreds of phone calls every hour from irate BA travellers, and some people have even showed up at their offices demanding refunds, etc."
Can you imagine?
Looking at the place page now, it appears the phone number was taken down. So I assume the calls have stopped.
