Google My Business has told one local SEO via Twitter direct message that the team is delayed 2-3 weeks. They wrote "please be aware that the team is currently experiencing a backlog and responses may be delayed for up to 2-3 weeks."
@giri_mahek posted a screen shot of the direct message on Twitter:
Google is asking you to not submit duplicate items even if you do not hear back as it will end up delaying things even more.
We have seen some cases of delays and issues over the past few weeks and it may be related to this issue.
It is unclear why there is a delay now versus not other times but there is a delay.
