There is this weird Google News bug that prevents you from filtering news search results by location for locations with two or more words.
For example, if you want to search for news on Romney from papers in New York, you can search using [romney location:New_York] or by typing New York into the location field into the advanced news search. The thing is, it doesn't work. It shows news results for Romney in all papers across America and the world.
But if you do the same search but filter it for Florida it does work, try [romney location:Florida] and the results will come from papers in Florida.
Google has been informed of this bug in the Google News Help forums.
Googler, Jack Green said, "Thanks for reporting this. The team is working on fixing this."
