Apps in search are a big deal and becoming a bigger deal every single day, both with Google, but also with Bing and even Apple.
But there seems to be an issue that is happening for some Android users using the Google Search App, where clicking on a search result, is not loading the respective app.
A new thread started this week in Google Web Search Help and Reddit have users on Android complaining about clicking on search results within the Google Search App and then being given a "No App Found To Open URL" error message.
This is not the first time we've seen such an issue, it happened back in 2013 as well, probably more often.
But there is now a large spike in complaints from users on Android who expect their apps to open to the appropriate content based on their query but instead are being given the "No App Found To Open URL" error message.
Google has not responded to the thread but there are some self help remedies being offered. One person suggested that uninstalling Android System WebView helped, others said signing out of Google and back in help, but the solution did not help all.

Update: Google's Mariya Moeva said Google is aware of it.
Update #2: I am told by Mariya this is now fixed.
