Today on the Google home page is a special logo for the 155th year anniversary of the first delivery made by the Pony Express. The delivery left St. Joseph, Missouri on April 3, 1860 and arrived at San Francisco, California, on April 14th.
The Doodle is an interactive game asking the searcher to try to deliver 100 letters. I bet it will waste a tremendous amount of time amongst workers today but it is fun to play.
The Pony Express operated between April 3, 1860 to October 1861 and was soon replaced by the telegraph for speedier communication. But the Pony Express revolutionized communication back in 1860. It cut down communication between the east and west coast to about 10 days.
