Google has said time and time again that they have over 200 ranking signals within their search ranking algorithm. But have you ever tried to document them all?

So we have places like Moz who released their ranking studies, as well as other places like SearchMetrics and others. But this one guy, by himself, documented 261 ranking factors he thinks Google uses in their search algorithm.

He used three methods to document these factors:

  • Patent filings
  • Direct statements from Google and/or their team
  • Applying The Scientific Method

There is even a slider to filter out the most concrete factors to hiding what some may call SEO myths.
