GoogleRecon Day Five: Document Your Changes

Sep 8, 2014 - 7:50 am 2 by

The last in the series of Google Reconsideration tips, all of stuff you all know, was posted late Friday on Google+. This one says submit the changes you made in order to request the reconsideration request. Be specific and document the changes you made. Google describes what they expect:

  • For linking issues: include a list of links you have removed, disavowed or nofollowed (based on the issue)
  • For hacked issues: add examples of injected or cloaked URLs that are now clean or return 404
  • For content issues: explain changes you made to provide significant value for your users

You can also link to documents that describe your efforts. Keep in mind that simply submitting a blank or empty site will not lead to a successful reconsideration request. Please be patient after submitting your reconsideration request as it usually takes a few weeks to process, Google added.
