Google has made a small but important change to the Google Search Console "Remove URL" section. It is just a language change, no functionality has changed. They changed the button to remove URLs from the Google index from "create a new removal request" to "temporarily hide."
Why did they make the change?
John Mueller from Google said on Twitter "this is just to make it clearer that it's time-limited."
@MichalGoralczyk @googlewmc @MichalWicinski The functionality remains the same, this is just to make it clearer that it's time-limited.

I agree, it does make it clearer.
