Earlier this month, Google's John Mueller hinted about more data will be coming to the Google Search Console soon. This is coming with the new beta release of the tool.
Well, Gary Illyes from Google while at an event in Japan, confirmed extended periods of data is indeed coming to the Google Search Console "soon." He would not give a data on the release but he said it is coming soon.
Satoshu Kimura posted it on Twitter:
「検索アナリティクスのデータが90日以上になるのはいつ?」
— 木村賢(Satoshi Kimura) (@kimuyan) August 22, 2017
「プリアナウンスはしたくない。ペンギンのときにひどい目にあったからw でも近いうちにローンチされる予定。」#inhouseseo
Kenichi Suzuki, who was the moderator of the panel, kindly translated the tweet for me:
Q. When will you extend the period in Search Analytics?"It's coming. I don't want to pre-announce the exact timeline because I've got burned at Penguin before." (laughter)
He later refused to give an exact time frame, just saying it will be coming "soon."
So it looks like after years and years of promising more than 3 months of data, Google is about to give it to us.
