With the launch of the new Google Search Console video enhancements report yesterday, a few hours later, Google began mass notifying sites with issues with their video markup via Google Search Console emails.
The notices read "Fix Videos markup for" and say "Google systems show that your site is affected by one Videos markup issue. This means that your Videos pages might not appear as rich results in Google Search." "Search Console has created a new report just for this rich result type. The new report enables you to identify, fix, and resubmit affected pages to Google so they can start appearing in Search Results with rich result features."
Here is a screen shot that was sent to me for a site in my Google Search Console profiles (not this one):
Google probably sent out hundreds, if not thousands, of these notifications over the day.
Getting GSC notices about video issues for a number of client sites. Don't recall seeing this particular notice previously. @rustybrick has probably known about it all along I'm guessing, though it could be a new notice since it's tied to the new report specific to this markup pic.twitter.com/pLzdrVoOHi

It looks like Google is starting to send alerts about improper video markup now. pic.twitter.com/5zoofMHfFk

Google Search Console is sending out a wave of video markup notifications shortly after announcing video enhancement reports. So far I am seeing the error on lots of pages with embedded videos (not using structured data). https://t.co/Tkq3TfzJ3P@rustybrick @glenngabe pic.twitter.com/QpIoxziZ9f

Are some people that notified me they got these reports.
If you get this notification, Google will help you by walking you through what the issues are and what to do to fix them.
