We've seen over the years between Matt Cutts, John Mueller, Gary Illyes and other Googlers that they go off for periods of time debunking SEO/Google myths. Well, it seems like Gary got the itch to do a round of these and he is asking for some topics to myth bust.
Gary posted on Twitter that he is "thinking about doing a myths debunked blog post on" the Google webmaster blog and then asked for "any newish myths that you'd like to see debunked?"
I don't know if they need to be new, many of the same old SEO myths still are believed to be true.
In any event, I did ask him to cover how Google handles algorithm updates vs data refreshes vs UI changes and so forth. That isn't necessarily a myth but a lot of Google time is placed on commenting about such "updates."
Do you have myths or questions for this blog post? Let Gary know on Twitter.
