In a Google+ hangout from Friday, Google's John Mueller said that for agencies to have hundreds of web sites in their Google Search Console account, and for some of those web sites to be similar to other sites in their account, is perfectly fine.
The question came up when someone asked if it is a bad thing to have multiple but similar web sites in the same Search Console account. Would Google find that duplicative and only send positive signals to one of them.
The question was clarified later on when it was asked from the agency perspective. For one webmaster to have 5 of the same web site, well, that isn't a great thing. But for an agency to have access to hundreds of web sites and some of those are similar, that is normal.
John Mueller said at 58:08 mark:
I don’t think that would really make sense because there are some agencies that have hundreds of web sites in their accounts and just because they do, doesn’t mean there is any problem with it.

Of course, if 90% of the sites in your account are spamming, then I'd worry.
