Mike Blumenthal spotted Google testing a new format for the local finder results in the map results. Instead of a list view, it shows swipeable cards that you can navigate between.
The car format is cool but not as quick and easy to spot local results as would be a list view.
Some of what Mike published we reported before, I believe, but not these card based results, instead of the list based results.

It looks cool but I don't think this is as useful as a list view, espesially when trying to find things quickly.
